The Maize 2011

October 25, 2011
Since Halloween is quickly approaching, we decided to take the boys back to The Maize in Weatherford this year. We had a good time last year but the weather was really bad and Noah was sick so this year was much better. The weather was perfect so we were able to stay for awhile and let Noah just go nuts. Both boys had a great time. They got to pick out some pumpkins from the pumpkin patch, look at all of the animals, and Noah got to play on all of the slides and jump things.

I love that top picture because it is just so Noah. Making friends where ever we go. I'm not sure that little boy loved having Noah grabbing his pumpkin but he was sweet. They hung out together on the tractor ride over to the pumpkin patch and back. Noah loved it!

On the way! Noah decided to "draw" on the back of the seat with his toes. I thought it was funny and a little impressive :)

Going down the big slide with Daddy! This slide turned out to be a little faster than they expected. I think it scared both of them!

Jakob in the pumpkins! He wasn't to thrilled about this so I had to compromise having the pacifier in the pictures just to get one at all without him crying in it.

Jake wondering what on earth we were doing with him on a trailer behind a noisy tractor
Funny story about this picture...we were sitting right behind this pumpkin which was stuck on the back of the tractor. I was talking to Noah and I said, "Do you see the pumpkin?" He said, "Yes!" I said, "What does it say?" and he said, "BOO!" Me and Matt looked at each other in total surprise. I'm sure it was just a coincidence but it was weird. Who knows? Maybe Noah can read and just hasn't let us in on it yet.
Arrived at the pumpkin patch! Noah was in heaven running around in the field, digging up the pumpkins in the dirt. We picked out two small ones for him and Jake. Daddy and Jake stayed on the tractor trailer.

We finally made it to the actual maze after all of the pumpkin fun and spent a good hour trapped in it before we made our way out. Noah and Matt had a blast picking off the corn and throwing it at each other. Then Matt got the idea of breaking off the huge stalks and letting Noah have them to use as a bat. He hit us each a few times before we decided that wasn't such a good idea. He may be little but he is dangerous with a big stick!
Pushing the stroller through all of that mess was a little difficult and the bumpy ride rocked Jakob straight to sleep. He conked out pretty quickly and slept most of the way home.
Noah found this rusty slide to play on and, of course, promptly took off his shoes and socks and refused to get off of it. Thankfully, he didn't scratch himself on anything.
Then he discovered this water tank that had a little fountain in it that he could reach. Dragging him away from that was pretty fun too. By the time we got back to the car he was covered with mud, rust and was soaked.
Bye-bye Maize! We'll see you next year!
