Jakob is 2 months old!

September 1, 2011
Two months have now came and went since Jakob came into our lives. It's been just awesome having him and he's is just the best baby in the world! He's very quiet and sweet...total opposite from Noah. Everyone always told me that it would be like that and it couldn't be more true around here. I adore Noah and he cracks me up every single day but having two with that much energy would completely wear me out!

Jakob went to his 2 month check up last week and here are his stats. He weighs in at a shocking 14 lbs which is in the 97th percentile for weight. I knew he was chunky but I was a little surprised it was that much. He is out of size 1 diapers already (even though he still wears them since I have so many left) and he is wearing a size 3-6 month in all of his clothes. He's wearing pj's that Noah wore easily at 6 months. He has the BIGGEST cheeks that I've ever seen and all I want to do all day is kiss them and pinch them.

He is also 22.5 inches long (35%) and I can't remember his head size but it was in the 35% as well. His feet, ears, and hands are all pretty small compared to Noah's. His hair sort of starting falling out on top but it is already growing back so he never went completely bald. He is starting to get a little bit of a rat tail and Matt wants to cut his hair already but I just can't bring myself to do it yet.

Jakob also had an appointment to get his skin tags removed this week so he had a rough week with all of the shots and snips. It went pretty well but it was a little traumatic for me. I don't usually get to worked up over things they have to do at the doctor's office but I didn't like this. First, they had to numb up all around his ear which was very painful for him. He screamed and had the saddest look on his little face. Then, like 2 seconds later, they whipped out these scissors and just cut them off! It bled like crazy! It was over pretty quickly and they are gone now but it wasn't very fun!

It was funny though when we first got there the lady working at the front desk said, "Oh, is this Jakob Bradshaw? We've been waiting to meet him all day!" I was thinking, "what is she talking about? do I know her??" She must have noticed the confused look on my face because she quickly explained that she has a grandson with the exact same name, spelled the same, and with the same last name. So, needless to say, she thought that was pretty cool and was excited to meet Jakob. Small world...

Noah had a much better week than Jakob did. He started back to "school" this week and was pretty excited about that. One of the best things about Noah is that he is SO friendly and fearless. He LOVES everyone and especially other kids. I don't ever have to worry about taking him places or leaving him with anyone. He just says "Bye Mama!" and he's off to play!

Noah still loves youtube!

Oh, the never-ending mess...
This picture is upside down but you can get the jist...Noah has started this weird new thing where he falls asleep next to his door with his face pressed against the crack. He doesn't cry or anything he just gets out of bed and lays down by the door. Every night I have to wiggle him over after he falls asleep so I can squeeze through the door without hurting him and put him back in bed so he doesn't sleep on the floor all night.
Playing with trucks at breakfast...a bad habit.
Jakob watching Baby Einstein on the Ipod
He won't eat much but he'll eat frozen blueberries???
